That was the slogan when Pine Mountain Club was being developed in the 1970s. Only 88 miles from Downtown Los Angeles, it's arguably one of the closest four-season destinations to the City of Angels.

One of the reasons we chose PMC, as the town folk call it, as our home away from home, was the proximity to LA and the fact that it avoids the popular 10-east migration that so many of us make on holiday weekends. After what should have been a 3-hour drive turned into a 5-hour drive driving back from the San Bernardino Mountains, I realized that wasn't a journey I wanted to make regularly.

Not only is PMC close, but it comes with many amenities one might get at a resort or hotel, but with the freedom and coziness of an actual community. There is the heated pool and hot tub (open seasonally), the tennis/pickleball courts, and the PGA-rated, 9-hole golf course all available for your use (fees may apply). 

 As a guest to our cabin, you can also take part in the many activities that happen year-round like Tuesday-night Celtic music playing at the Community Clubhouse or the Sunday Arts & Crafts at the Recreation Room or the $10 Tai Chi on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
