🔋No need for electric vehicle range anxiety. We leave LA with a full battery and return home with 30% left. There's a NACS-compatible TESLA stations (dozens of chargers), just off the Frazier Mountain off-ramp, 51526 Ralphs Ranch Rd, 93243
🏔️⛓️If you are traveling mid-October to mid-April, bring chains. I've seen snow on April 14th and October 14th! Z cables are super easy to install.
🛜High Speed internet: 400mbs (you only need 100 to video conference while streaming a movie on another device...not that you do that...)
♨️We have installed a new, WiFi-enabled heater so we can pre-heat the cabin for you! Once you are there you can pop-on the wall heaters which heat the space up quickly.
The grounds around our cabin are often moist and have lots of small, sharp oak leaves that are very pointy. To save your feet, our cabin is shoes off so please bring thick socks with traction or house slippers. There are hooks with rags by both doors so you can wipe your doggie’s paws.🐾
THE GROUNDS
Our lot is almost flat (RARE in PMC) and has only four steps up to the front door (also rare). Easy to unload your car.
🌲TREES galore! The property is a quarter acre full of mature pine and oak trees. What comes with tree? Sap (only sometimes) and pine cones (look out below!). There are a couple of spots you can park your car that are not DIRECTLY under a tree.
TWO huge decks on either side of the cabin. The front deck faces west (sunsets!) and has some loungey seating. The back faces east (sunrise!) and a protected forest. It's incredibly calm and peaceful. Sunset deck is fully enclosed and has a dining table, hammock, and BBQ.
🪨We have a number of large rocks. Park to the left of the yellow poles in order to avoid them if there is snow on the ground. Also, take a light with you if you are walking around outside in the dark.

In the upper cabinets over the refrigerator you'll have access to some incidentals including extra paper products, basic cleaning products (put up here so kiddos can't reach), a sewing kit, extra batteries and light bulbs.
I'll give you our contact info within 48 hours of check-in along with an electronic house manual.
BOOKING WITH US MEANS YOU'VE READ AND AGREED THAT, you release us of all liability related to any injury or property damage you may incur during your stay. You also understand that:
1. This is not an investment property, it's our home. We love the Haven and everything in it! We want you to have a magical time and appreciate you treating this sanctuary with respect. We take video footage before and after every visit and there are four cameras on the exterior, so we will know if anything is broken or goes missing, which you will be charged for. Please no doggos on the beds.
2. If you need to chop wood, please do it outside, off the decks so as not to damage anything. You will need your own wood chopping implement.
3. Be aware that this cabin is nestled in a forest. It is not "convenient". You will experience the four seasons, not THE Four Seasons. Unlike the city where your power or internet never go out, they may go out up here! It usually doesn't last long, and that's part of the joy. Life is way slower up here. Just go with the flow. Weather happens. Wildlife happens. This is a wild place where the animals call home and you are the visitor. Enjoy the change!
4. You will have access to all of the spaces except for a few locked closets that are filled with boring things like really long window washing equipment (how do birds poop at that angle?) and water heaters. The upper cabinets in the kitchen will be stocked with little incidentals you might need like extra batteries, light bulbs, a sewing kit, extra paper goods, and cleaning products (I put them up there in case you have a little because the kitchen cupboards/drawers are not childproofed).
5. Be Bear Aware! Wildlife is wonderful! The mountains of PMC are home to many black bears (which can be black or brown), bobcats, mountain lions, birds, raccoons, the fattest squirrels you’ve ever seen, as well as the smallest chipmunks, and deer to name a few. It is important to keep wildlife, wild. This means DO NOT directly/indirectly feed wildlife. Do not leave food or trash outside. Do not throw a hot dog into the woods. Do not empty pasta water outside. Do not empty half-filled soda cans onto the dirt. Bears can smell food over TWO miles away! We have seen ALL of these wildlife (except mountain lions and deer) on our property. Here are some tips: -No food, food trash, or scented items in your car. NONE. No gum, flavored lip gloss, empty potato chip bags. Bears will break into your car at the slightest scent of anything that smells like food. -Lock your car doors and close your windows (bears can open unlocked cars). -No unattended food or trash outside. -Clean the BBQ if you use it.
6. Dress and hydrate appropriately! Layer up. Even inside the cabin, you might want to wear a sweater. Since the cabin is shoes-off, bring thick socks with traction on them or house slippers. It is very dry up here. You will need good moisturizers and you need to drink more water than usual.
7. Pine Mountain Club is a small, tight-knit community. We are also an HOA so there are a number of rules in order to maintain the peaceful, slightly-wild vibe we all love. People value their privacy and their quiet. Breaking any town ordinance may result in fines. And trust us, the 24-hour patrol shows up FAST! Some of the ordinances include no filming, no parties, no loud noises, no open fires, no weapons, pets must be leashed. Thank you!
